ENGLEBRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to school district approval of subdivisions THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The general municipal law is amended by adding a new 2 section 99-v to read as follows: 3 S 99-V. SCHOOL DISTRICT APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION. A GOVERNING BOARD 4 MAY, BY RESOLUTION, AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER THE PLANNING BOARD TO REQUIRE 5 THE OWNER OF A PARCEL PROPOSED FOR SUBDIVISION TO APPLY FOR AND RECEIVE 6 NOTIFICATION FROM A SCHOOL DISTRICT AS TO WHETHER SUCH PARCEL IS LOCATED 7 WITHIN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT'S BOUNDARIES. 8 S 2.
