YOUNG -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to including dentist's offices as originating sites for purposes of telehealth delivery of services THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 2999-cc of the public health law, 2 as added by a chapter of the laws of 2015, amending the public health 3 law and other laws relating to the telehealth delivery of services, as 4 proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 2405 and A. 2552-A, is amended 5 to read as follows: 6 3. "Originating site" means a site at which a patient is located at 7 the time health care services are delivered to him or her by means of 8 telehealth. Originating sites shall be limited to facilities licensed 9 under articles twenty-eight and forty of this chapter, facilities as 10 defined in subdivision six of section 1.03 of the mental hygiene law, 11 private physician's OR DENTIST'S offices located within the state of New 12 York and, when a patient is receiving health care services by means of 13 remote patient monitoring, the patient's place of residence located 14 within the state of New York or other temporary location located within 15 or outside the state of New York. 16 S 2. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same 17 manner as a chapter of the laws of 2015, amending the public health law 18 and other laws relating to the telehealth delivery of services, as 19 proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 2405 and A. 2552-A, takes 20 effect.
