S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 5548 2011-2012 Regular Sessions I N S E N A T E June 1, 2011 ___________ Introduced by Sen. GRISANTI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT in relation to requiring the commissioner of environmental conservation to identify certain advisory panels, boards, and task forces THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the 2 commissioner of environmental conservation shall identify any advisory 3 panel, board, task force, council or other similar entity which has been 4 established in the environmental conservation law and which has been 5 inactive for at least five years. The commissioner, no later than 6 December 31, 2012, shall furnish a list of such inactive panels, boards, 7 task forces, councils, and other entities to the governor, the temporary 8 president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly. The legislature 9 shall make use of such list to repeal any laws related to such entities. 10 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
