STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 6018--A 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN SENATE March 29, 2021 ___________ Introduced by Sen. HARCKHAM -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend chapter 63 of the laws of 2021 amending the environ- mental conservation law relating to supermarkets providing excess edible food to food relief organizations, in relation to extending the effectiveness of certain provisions thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 6 of chapter 63 of the laws of 2021 amending the 2 environmental conservation law relating to supermarkets providing excess 3 edible food to food relief organizations, is amended to read as follows: 4 § 6. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however that 5 sections one, two, three and four of this act shall take effect on the 6 same date and in the same manner as [a] chapter 56 of the laws of 2020[,7amending the environmental conservation law relating to requiring super-8markets to make excess food available to qualifying entities, as9proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 4176-A and A. 4398-A,] takes 10 effect, provided, further, that section four of this act shall expire 11 and be deemed repealed on December 31, [2021] 2026. 12 § 2.
