        Introduced  by Sen. HARCKHAM -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation

        AN ACT in relation to authorizing a study pertaining to traffic flow and
          safety of State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson  River  to
          the  border  of  Connecticut;  and  providing  for  the repeal of such
          provisions upon expiration thereof

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The department of transportation is hereby authorized and
     2  directed to conduct a study pertaining to traffic  flow  and  safety  of
     3  State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of
     4  Connecticut.
     5    1.  The  department  shall  study  the  current conditions and data to
     6  ensure the safe and effective traffic flow of State Route 35  and  State
     7  Route 22.
     8    2.  The department of transportation shall report such findings to the
     9  governor and the legislature within one year after the effective date of
    10  this act.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire one  year
    12  after  it  shall have become a law when upon such date the provisions of
    13  this act shall be deemed repealed.
