A BILL
To enact section 187.14 of the Revised Code to 1
require that, if JobsOhio provides financial 2
assistance for the cleanup and remediation of 3
brownfields, at least 85% of the assistance must 4
be in the form of grants.5


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 187.14 of the Revised Code be enacted 6
to read as follows:7

       Sec. 187.14. If, in any year, JobsOhio provides financial 8
assistance for the cleanup or remediation of brownfields or for 9
the completion of assessments related thereto, at least 10
eighty-five per cent of all such assistance provided in that year 11
shall be in the form of grants.12

       As used in this division "assessment," "brownfield," and 13
"cleanup or remediation" have the same meanings as in section 14
122.65 of the Revised Code.15
