A RESOLUTION
Honoring Richie Screptock as a 2014 Division I State Wrestling Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Richie Screptock on winning the 2014 Division I State Wrestling Championship in the 132-pound weight class; and

       WHEREAS,  Richie Screptock's outstanding ability and spirited drive, as well as his quickness and tenacity, have distinguished him as a superior athlete. A junior at Clay High School, he secured this year's Division I State Championship title in the 132-pound weight class and finished the season with a 47-9 record, and it is no surprise that he has won so many admirers; and 

       WHEREAS,  Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment more than wrestling. Champion wrestlers such as Richie Screptock exemplify the qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including integrity, agility, conditioning, and focus. Throughout long hours of practice and competition, he demonstrated the talent and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true athlete; and

       WHEREAS,  Richie Screptock has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young man. His enthusiastic involvement in wrestling has enabled him to learn much about dedication, discipline, and leadership, and in the process, his exceptional prowess has made his coach, his school, and his family and friends very proud; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Richie Screptock on his personal success and salute him as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Richie Screptock.
