A RESOLUTION

Honoring Ross Palazzo on winning two 2013 Division I State Swimming titles.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Ross Palazzo as the 2013 Division I State Champion in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke events; and

       WHEREAS,  Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication as a member of the Hudson High School swim team, Ross Palazzo has certainly distinguished himself as one of the most talented swimmers in Ohio. At this year's Division I State meet, he won first place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:48.49 and 100-yard breaststroke with a time of .55 and helped the 200-yard medley relay team win sixth place and the 200-yard freestyle relay team win eighth place; and 

       WHEREAS,  Throughout the 2012-2013 season, Ross Palazzo had prepared conscientiously in pursuit of the state crown, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends, for he has claimed state titles in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke events; and

       WHEREAS,  Despite sometimes grueling pressure, Ross Palazzo has consistently maintained his composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, and stamina in every challenging encounter. Time and again, he has risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating his unflagging determination, and he has set an example for others to emulate; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Ross Palazzo on his outstanding achievement and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ross Palazzo.
