| Honoring the City of Westerville on its Innovation in Local Government Award. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the City of Westerville on WeConnect being presented with the Innovation in Local Government Award by the Ohio City/County Management Association, February 27, 2013; and |
| WHEREAS, The Ohio City/County Management Association's Innovation in Local Government Award program recognizes community managers in Ohio for their quality contributions and leadership, as well as the individuals, communities, and programs that have developed creative and successful projects promoting excellence in local government. It is fitting that we commend the City of Westerville for the invaluable efforts of all those associated with WeConnect for through their hard work and enthusiasm, these fine citizens have established a record of achievement that is worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, The nation's first municipally owned community data center, WeConnect has enhanced the quality of life in Westerville by helping the city to expand its technology system and provide infrastructure support for private sector development. We are certain that in the years to come, this fine initiative will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its hallmark; and |
| WHEREAS, The City of Westerville has certainly had a positive effect on the quality of life in our society, and it has earned the respect and appreciation of many. In applauding WeConnect on its recent accolade, we note with pride that it is through the diligent efforts of exemplary municipalities such as Westerville that the State of Ohio will continue to grow and prosper and remain a fine place to live and work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the City of Westerville on WeConnect receiving the Innovation in Local Government Award and salute its residents as outstanding Ohioans; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Westerville. |
