To enact sections 5.2288, 5.2296, 5.26, and 5.27 of the Revised Code to designate March as "Ohio Maple Syrup Products Month," September as "School Bullying Prevention Awareness Month," February 21 as "Rascal Flatts Day," and September as "Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month."
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio:
SECTION 1. That sections 5.2288, 5.2296, 5.26, and 5.27 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 5.2288. The month of March is designated as "Ohio Maple Syrup Products Month."
Sec. 5.2296. The month of September shall be designated as "School Bullying Prevention Awareness Month" to highlight the policies prohibiting harassment, intimidation, or bullying adopted by schools in the state and the required notice of those policies sent to parents and guardians annually under section 3313.666 of the Revised Code.
Sec. 5.26. The twenty-first day of February is designated as "Rascal Flatts Day," in honor of the country music group consisting of Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney.
Sec. 5.27. The month of September is designated as "Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month."
SECTION 2. Section 5.2296 of the Revised Code shall be known as the "School Bullying Prevention and Awareness Act."
