| Honoring Coach Sarah Catlin on being named the 2010 United States Coach of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Sarah Catlin on being named the 2010 United States Coach of the Year in high school field hockey by TopOfTheCircle.com; and |
| WHEREAS, As the head coach of the St. Ursula Academy field hockey team, Sarah Catlin has shown remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in leading her team to victory. Under her capable guidance, the team members have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in field hockey, as demonstrated by the Bulldogs winning the 2010 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championship and completing their season with an admirable record of 14-5-1. We are confident that her tireless efforts will inspire others to dedicate themselves similarly; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration. The accomplishments and leadership shown by Coach Catlin are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her players, her school, and her community, and she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has set an example worthy of emulation by all; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Coach Catlin and her fine players for a job well-done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Sarah Catlin on her recent accolade and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sarah Catlin. |
