Summary
The Act extends to people with concealed handgun licenses from some other states the same legal status as a person with an Oregon CHL. The Act takes effect on the 91st day after sine die. (Flesch Readability Score: 68.2). Directs the Department of State Police to create and maintain a list of states that recognize Oregon concealed handgun licenses and require a demonstration of handgun competency to obtain a license that is similar to the requirement in Oregon. Provides persons licensed to a carry concealed handgun in states on the department list with the protections provided to persons with Oregon concealed handgun licenses. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
