Summary
Makes changes to grants awarded by ODE. (Flesch Readability Score: 78.8). Allows the State Board of Education to establish for small school districts a minimum grant amount and the Department of Education to reduce the administrative burden related to applying for and reporting on grants. Expands eligibility and makes funding adjustments to amounts appropriated under the High School Graduation and College and Career Readiness Act and to grants awarded for implementing early warning systems. Expands the entities eligible for grants awarded from the Student Investment Account. Revises the reporting date related to grants that are provided for English language learner programs. Declares an emergency, effective July 1, 2025.
