Summary
The Act defines some terms related to nursing. The Act gives the Oregon State Board of Nursing some new authority. (Flesch Readability Score: 67.2). Defines "Advanced Practice Registered Nurse," "diagnosing" and "medication aide." Clarifies multiple ways to obtain a nursing license. Allows the Oregon State Board of Nursing to require an applicant for relicensure to demonstrate the applicant's ability to practice nursing. Allows the board to refund fees paid to the board. Removes the requirement for the board to approve all nursing continuing education programs. Allows the board to continually monitor nursing assistant training programs and revoke program approval. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
