Summary

Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to conduct study and develop recommendations on how to establish coordinated, statewide approach to best serve currently incarcerated individuals who are recently eligible to receive student loans under federal program. Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to conduct study and develop recommendations on how to establish coordinated, statewide approach to best serve currently incarcerated individuals who are recently eligible to receive student loans under federal program. Requires commission to convene group of listed stakeholders as part of study and development of recommendations. Requires commission to submit report providing results and recommendations of study to Legislative Assembly by December 31, 2021. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
