                             SUMMARY

  Directs district school boards to establish policy for
reporting of incidents that result in injury   { - or death of
student, volunteer, visitor, teacher or other staff occurring on
school property - } .

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to school safety; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) Each district school board shall establish
a policy for the reporting of incidents that:
  (a) Result in the injury of an employee of the school district;
and
  (b) Are sustained while in the actual performance of the duty
of the employee.
  (2) A policy established as provided by this section must
align, to the extent practicable, with any existing reporting
requirements. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect July 1,
2013. + }
