AN ACT

Amending Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) of the Pennsylvania

2

Consolidated Statutes, in municipal authorities, further

3

providing for purposes and powers.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 5607(d) of Title 53 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

8

§ 5607.  Purposes and powers.

(d)  Powers.--Every authority may exercise all powers

11

necessary or convenient for the carrying out of the purposes set

12

forth in this section, including, but without limiting the

13

generality of the foregoing, the following rights and powers:

(34)  When an authority approves a project in excess of

16

$1,000,000 and is eligible to apply for Federal or State

17

funding for the project that would have the effect of

18

offsetting costs to property owners, the authority shall

apply for the Federal or State funding and shall provide

2

public notice of any Federal or State funding for which the

3

authority has applied.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
