AN ACT

  

1

Amending the act of February 17, 1994 (P.L.73, No.7), entitled

2

"An act requiring timely payment to certain contractors and

3

subcontractors; and providing remedies to contractors and

4

subcontractors," further providing for applicable law.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 14 of the act of February 17, 1994

8

(P.L.73, No.7), known as the Contractor and Subcontractor

9

Payment Act, is amended to read:

10

Section 14.  Applicable law and enforceability.

11

Making a contract subject to the laws of another state [or], 

12

requiring that any litigation, arbitration or other dispute

13

resolution process on the contract occur in another state or

14

waiving any of the rights or responsibilities under this act 

15

shall be unenforceable.

16

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
