AN ACT

  

1

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

2

Statutes, in other required equipment, further providing for

3

general requirements for school buses.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 4552(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

8

§ 4552.  General requirements for school buses.

9

(a)  Color and identification.--

10

(1)  Every school bus shall be of a uniform color scheme

11

and labeled "School Bus" on both front and rear as provided

12

by regulation.

13

(2)  Exterior labels and markings other than those

14

specifically required or permitted under paragraph (3) or by

15

law or regulation shall be prohibited.

16

(3)  The rear of every school bus shall have affixed to

17

it an exterior label, sticker or sign stating: "At all times

stay back minimum of 10 feet. It is the law."

2

(4)  This subsection shall not be construed to prohibit

3

the affixation of exterior labels or stickers of a temporary

4

nature which have been approved by the school district as

5

having educational value and which do not obscure the "School

6

Bus" labels.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
