| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the definition |
3 | of "superannuation age." |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. The definition of "superannuation age" in section |
7 | 5102 of Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is |
8 | amended to read: |
9 | § 5102. Definitions. |
10 | The following words and phrases as used in this part, unless |
11 | a different meaning is plainly required by the context, shall |
12 | have the following meanings: |

14 | "Superannuation age." Any age upon accrual of 35 eligibility |
15 | points or age 60, except for [a] the following: |
16 | (1) A member of the General Assembly, an enforcement |
17 | officer, a correction officer, a psychiatric security aide, a |
18 | Delaware River Port Authority policeman or an officer of the |

1 | Pennsylvania State Police, age 50[, and, except for a]. |
2 | (2) A member with Class G, Class H, Class I, Class J, |
3 | Class K, Class L, Class M or Class N service, age 55 upon |
4 | accrual of 20 eligibility points. |
5 | (3) A magisterial district judge, age 55 upon accrual of |
6 | 24 eligibility points or any age upon accrual of 35 |
7 | eligibility points or age 60. |

9 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
