AN ACT

Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania

2

Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the definition

3

of "superannuation age."

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  The definition of "superannuation age" in section

7

5102 of Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is

8

amended to read:

9

§ 5102.  Definitions.

10

The following words and phrases as used in this part, unless

11

a different meaning is plainly required by the context, shall

12

have the following meanings:

"Superannuation age."  Any age upon accrual of 35 eligibility

15

points or age 60, except for [a] the following:

16

(1)  A member of the General Assembly, an enforcement

17

officer, a correction officer, a psychiatric security aide, a

18

Delaware River Port Authority policeman or an officer of the

Pennsylvania State Police, age 50[, and, except for a].

2

(2)  A member with Class G, Class H, Class I, Class J,

3

Class K, Class L, Class M or Class N service, age 55 upon

4

accrual of 20 eligibility points.

5

(3)  A magisterial district judge, age 55 upon accrual of

6

24 eligibility points or any age upon accrual of 35

7

eligibility points or age 60.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
