| A RESOLUTION |
| |
1 | Recognizing the celebration of the 63rd Annual Convention of the |
2 | Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. |
3 | WHEREAS, Harrisburg is proud to host the 63rd Annual |
4 | Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community which promotes an |
5 | understanding of the moral and spiritual values embraced by |
6 | Islam; and |
7 | WHEREAS, The mission of the Annual Convention is to increase |
8 | faith and harmony and introduce various humanitarian, social and |
9 | religious services; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Religion is the bedrock of our nation's foundation, |
11 | where William Penn came to this country and was granted full |
12 | proprietary rights of this Commonwealth in 1681 for religious |
13 | freedom, and out of that came the "Holy Experiment"; and |
14 | WHEREAS, William Penn's desire was to gain love and |
15 | friendship by a kind, just and peaceable life and to establish a |
16 | society that was godly, virtuous and exemplary for all of |
17 | humanity; and |
18 | WHEREAS, Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V aba |

1 | is currently the supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim |
2 | Community; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad aba has accumulated an |
4 | exemplary record of humanitarian service that underscores his |
5 | commitment to an ideal society; and |
6 | WHEREAS, As the spiritual leader of Ahmadi Muslims all over |
7 | the world, Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad aba vigorously champions |
8 | peace and compassion as the cause of Islam; therefore be it |
9 | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the |
10 | celebration of the 63rd Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya |
11 | Muslim Community. |
