A RESOLUTION

Honoring Frank L. Oliver for his 37 years of service to the

Commonwealth as a member of the House of Representatives and

declaring April 15, 2011, as "The Honorable Frank L. Oliver

4

Day" in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, The Honorable Frank L. Oliver was born in 1922 and

6

graduated from the Philadelphia public school system; and

7

WHEREAS, The Honorable Frank L. Oliver was elected to the

8

House of Representatives by virtue of a special election held on

9

November 15, 1973; and

10

WHEREAS, Representative Oliver served the Commonwealth as a

11

member of the House of Representatives for 37 years through the

12

2009-2010 Session of the General Assembly; and

13

WHEREAS, Representative Oliver served the people of the 195th

14

Legislative District with dedication and distinction; therefore
