A RESOLUTION
Honoring Frank L. Oliver for his 37 years of service to the
Commonwealth as a member of the House of Representatives and
declaring April 15, 2011, as "The Honorable Frank L. Oliver
Day" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Honorable Frank L. Oliver was born in 1922 and
graduated from the Philadelphia public school system; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Frank L. Oliver was elected to the
House of Representatives by virtue of a special election held on
November 15, 1973; and
WHEREAS, Representative Oliver served the Commonwealth as a
member of the House of Representatives for 37 years through the
2009-2010 Session of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, Representative Oliver served the people of the 195th
Legislative District with dedication and distinction; therefore

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Frank L.
Oliver for his 37 years of service to the Commonwealth as a
member of the House of Representatives and declare April 15,
2011, as "The Honorable Frank L. Oliver Day" in Pennsylvania.
