AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, further providing for required financial
responsibility.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1786(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
§ 1786. Required financial responsibility.

(e) Obligations upon lapse, termination or cancellation of
financial responsibility.--

(6) An insurer who has rescinded coverage for a contract
of motor vehicle liability insurance because the insurer had
been paid with a bad check shall notify the department that
the contract for liability coverage is no longer valid.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
