INTRODUCED AND ADOPTED, JUNE 7, 2011
A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of June 2011 as "Men's Health Month" in
Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Men's Health Month is set aside to increase
awareness of preventable health conditions; and
WHEREAS, Men's Health Month further increases awareness of
the value of early detection and treatment for male-specific
diseases; and
WHEREAS, Health care providers, policymakers, media
representatives and many individuals in our communities
recognize the importance of seeking regular medical advice and
early treatment for disease or injury; and
WHEREAS, The Senate urges establishment and recognition of
men's health initiatives in our communities, participation in
events raising awareness of men's health issues and widespread
adoption of healthy lifestyles; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the month of June 2011 as
"Men's Health Month" in Pennsylvania.
