A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 58-27-700 SO AS TO PROHIBIT AN ELECTRIC UTILITY, ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, OR THE SOUTH CAROLINA PUBLIC SERVICE AUTHORITY (SANTEE COOPER) FROM PROVIDING ELECTRIC SERVICE TO A PROPERTY OR FACILITY IN THIS STATE THAT IS USED TO HOUSE, HOLD, DETAIN, OR INTERROGATE A PERSON WHOM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS DESIGNATED AN "ENEMY COMBATANT" OR OTHER SIMILAR TERM FOR A PERSON WHO IS SUSPECTED OF COMMITTING, CONSPIRING TO COMMIT, OR ATTEMPTING TO COMMIT EITHER A DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL ACT OF TERROR.

Prohibit An Electric Utility, Electric Cooperative, Or The South Carolina Public Service Authority (santee Cooper) From Providing Electric Service To A Property Or Facility In This State That Is Used To House, Hold, Detain, Or Interrogate A Person Whom The Federal Government Has Designated An "enemy Combatant" Or Other Similar Term For A Person Who Is Suspected Of Committing, Conspiring To Commit, Or Attempting To Commit Either A Domestic Or International Act Of Terror.
