A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 39-1-100 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A GROCERY STORE MUST, UPON NOTICE OF A RECALL OF A FOOD ITEM, USE ITS CUSTOMER DATABASE TO CONTACT CUSTOMERS BY PHONE OR BY MAIL WHO PURCHASED THE FOOD ITEM WITHIN THIRTY DAYS OF THE ISSUANCE OF THE RECALL, TO PROVIDE THAT CONTACT MUST BE MADE WITH THESE CUSTOMERS WITHIN TEN DAYS OF THE GROCERY STORE RECEIVING NOTICE OF THE RECALL, AND TO PROVIDE DEFINITIONS.
