A JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V, SECTION 3 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1895, SO AS TO PROVIDE MEMBERS OF THE SUPREME COURT MUST BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR AND CONFIRMED BY THE HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE AND SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE; PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V, SECTION 8 SO AS TO PROVIDE JUDGES OF THE COURT OF APPEALS MUST BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR AND CONFIRMED BY THE HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE AND SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE; PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V, SECTION 13 SO AS TO PROVIDE CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES MUST BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR AND CONFIRMED BY THE HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE AND SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE; AND PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V, SECTION 27 SO AS TO PROVIDE THE GOVERNOR MUST APPOINT JUDGES AND JUSTICES FROM AMONG THE NOMINEES OF THE JUDICIAL MERIT SELECTION COMMISSION AND THAT THE COMMISSION MUST NOMINATE ALL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES.
