A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-1-503 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A SALARIED EMPLOYEE OF A SCHOOL DISTRICT MAY NOT, DURING NORMAL WORK HOURS FOR WHICH HE IS PAID, DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS DESIGNED FOR USE OUTSIDE OF THE DISTRICT THAT FALL OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF HIS EMPLOYMENT, AND THAT HE MAY NOT USE EQUIPMENT THAT BELONGS TO THE SCHOOL OR DISTRICT IN THE CREATION OF ANY SUCH EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.

Provide That A Salaried Employee Of A School District May Not, During Normal Work Hours For Which He Is Paid, Develop Educational Materials Designed For Use Outside Of The District That Fall Outside The Scope Of His Employment, And That He May Not Use Equipment That Belongs To The School Or District In The Creation Of Any Such Educational Materials.
