A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-440, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATED TO PENALTIES FOR DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON WHO DRIVES A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT A LICENSE, AND WHEN DRIVING CAUSES GREAT BODILY INJURY OR DEATH TO ANOTHER PERSON IS GUILTY OF A FELONY AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES; AND TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-460, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATED TO PENALTIES FOR DRIVING WHILE A LICENSE IS CANCELLED, SUSPENDED OR REVOKED, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON WHO DRIVES A MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN HIS LICENSE IS CANCELED, SUSPENDED, OR REVOKED , AND WHEN DRIVING CAUSES GREAT BODILY INJURY OR DEATH TO ANOTHER PERSON IS GUILTY OF A FELONY AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES.
