A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission, RELATING TO Continuing Obligation to Update, Request for Hearing, and Answer, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 5131, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1.   The regulations of the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission, relating to Continuing Obligation to Update, Request for Hearing, and Answer, designated as Regulation Document Number 5131, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the S.C. Code, are approved.

SECTION 2.   This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

The South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission proposes to amend the regulation that addresses a party's continuing obligation to update a request for hearing and answer to allow for a streamlined process by which to add or remove a party and to clarify procedures for filing and responding to such amended forms.

The Notice of Drafting was published in the State Register on July 22, 2022.
