As introduced, requires commissioner of financial institutions to select independent, qualified appraisers for appraisals of real estate held by savings and loan associations; replaces incorrect code references to federal home loan bank board and federal savings and loan insurance corporation, which was abolished in 1992, with references to the federal deposit insurance corporation, to which such responsibilities were transferred. - Amends TCA Title 13; Title 45; Title 47 and Title 67, Chapter 5.
