Summary

As enacted, provides for prescreening agents, physicians, and psychologists to be considered state employees when assessing persons for admission and transportation to involuntary inpatient treatment; authorizes transport of people with a mental illness who do not present a danger to themselves or are not in need of physical restraint or vehicular security by a friend, neighbor, relative, clergy, or other mental health professional familiar with the person; revises other provisions regarding transport of persons with mental illness.
