Summary
As introduced, authorizes TBI to independently investigate cases of alleged criminal misconduct in office by a public servant upon request of law enforcement or TBI's own initiative; creates a special prosecutor panel to whom TBI reports and who may appoint a special prosecutor to prosecute the public official if the appropriate district attorney general declines to prosecute. - Amends TCA Title 38.
