Summary

As introduced, requires the director, during the bureau's annual budget hearing before the general assembly, to provide information regarding the number of special agent/forensic scientists employed by the bureau, whether any such positions are open, the standard workload of such employees, and the number of DNA samples awaiting analysis for a period longer than 30 days. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 7; Title 38; Title 49; Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 6 and Title 68, Chapter 29.
