Summary

As introduced, authorizes a funeral director applicant who was not previously licensed in this state to substitute one year of apprenticeship with an associate degree or the completion of a program of study in funeral service education; authorizes an applicant to concurrently fulfill the second year of the applicant's apprenticeship alongside the requirement that the applicant successfully completes no less than 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent education from a school accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education and evidenced by an official transcript. - Amends TCA Title 62, Chapter 5.
