Summary

As introduced, requires a utility to obtain written consent from the owner of residential or commercial property for which the utility provides services before the utility installs a smart meter for the property; requires a utility to obtain written confirmation from the owner of the property that the owner consents to the continued presence and use of the smart meter if a smart meter is already present. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 65 and Title 68.
