HB2614 by Harris, Cody (Relating to the procurement procedure for certain purchases related to county roads in certain counties.), As Introduced |
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Transportation Code, Chapter 251, regarding county authority relating to roads and bridges, to specify that, to the extent permitted by federal law, a county with a population of less than 100,000 is not required to use a procurement procedure required by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Texas Transportation Commission, or Subtitle B, Title 6 of the Transportation Code, for a purchase of materials related to the construction or maintenance of a county road.
Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed implementation of the bill would have no fiscal implication to the state.
