IN RE:
SB1829 by Hinojosa (Relating to the electronic Medicaid recipient directories maintained by Medicaid managed care organizations.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 533 of the Government Code to require a Medicaid managed care organization to maintain an electronic directory of contact information for Medicaid recipients enrolled in the organization's managed care plan and share a copy of the directory with the Health and Human Services Commission on a monthly basis. The Health and Human Services Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
