A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to law enforcement reports concerning certain arrest
  information of persons who are not lawfully present in the United
  States.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter E, Chapter 2A, Code of Criminal
  Procedure, is amended by adding Article 2A.2061 to read as follows:
         Art. 2A.2061.  LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES: REPORT CONCERNING
  ARRESTS OF PERSONS NOT LAWFULLY PRESENT IN UNITED STATES. (a)  Not
  later than January 31 of each year, each municipal police
  department and sheriff's department shall post on the department's
  Internet website a report on the number of criminal offenses
  committed in the county or municipality, as applicable, during the
  preceding calendar year for which a person arrested by the
  department is known by the department to not be lawfully present in
  the United States.
         (b)  The report described by Subsection (a) must include, for
  each arrested person identified as not lawfully present:
               (1)  each offense for which the person was arrested;
  and
               (2)  the total number of offenses for which the person
  was arrested.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
