BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 501.023(b), Government Code, is amended | ||
to read as follows: | ||
(b) Not later than December 31 of each year, the department | ||
shall submit a report to the governor, the lieutenant governor, | ||

the legislature and shall make the report available to the public on | ||
the department's Internet website [ |
||
|
||
summarize statistical information concerning the total number of | ||
inmates who have at any time been in the conservatorship of a state | ||
agency responsible for providing child protective services, | ||
including, disaggregated by age, the number of inmates who have not | ||
previously served a term of imprisonment. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
