A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to compensation of certain district judges for performing
  extrajudicial services.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 659.012, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
         (c)  For purposes of Subsection (a)(1), the combined salary
  of a district judge serving in any county with a population of
  750,000 or more does not include compensation for performing
  extrajudicial services.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
