A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to electronically filing any court document in a criminal
  case in Cameron County.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 24.205, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
         (e)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 2.  Section 24.209, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
         (d)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 3.  Section 24.240, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
         (e)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method. 
         SECTION 4.  Section 24.376, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
         (c)  A party in a criminal case before the court in Cameron
  County may electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method. 
         SECTION 5.  Section 24.503, Government Code, is amended to
  read as follows:
         Sec. 24.503.  357TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a)
  The 357th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County.
         (b)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method. 
         SECTION 6.  Section 24.549, Government Code, is amended to
  read as follows:
         Sec. 24.549.  404TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a)
  The 404th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County.
         (b)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 7.  Section 24.589, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
         (c)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 8.  Section 24.640, Government Code, is amended to
  read as follows:
         Sec. 24.640.  444TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a) 
  The 444th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County.
         (b)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 9.  Section 25.0332, Government Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (b) to read as follows:
         (b)  A party in a criminal case before the court may
  electronically file any required court document if the
  commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing
  filing by that method.
         SECTION 10.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
