BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 71.155(a-1), Business & Commerce Code, | ||
is amended to read as follows: | ||
(a-1) The county clerk may waive all fees under Subsection | ||
(a) for a registrant if the registrant is: | ||
(1) an individual who is a military veteran, as | ||
defined by Section 55.001, Occupations Code; or | ||
(2) a business entity that does not have more than five | ||
employees and is owned by at least one individual who is a military | ||
veteran. [ |

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
