relating to the duration of a special open hunting season | ||
restricted to persons under 17 years old. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 61.058(a), Parks and Wildlife Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(a) The commission may provide for special open seasons | ||
during which the taking and possession of game animals and game | ||
birds are restricted to persons under 17 years old. A special open | ||
season under this section may not be shorter than seven consecutive | ||
days. | ||
SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | ||
of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt or amend | ||
rules as necessary to comply with the changes in law made by this | ||
Act. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
