| polling locations. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 85, Election Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 85.0041 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 85.0041. NOTICE OF CHANGED POLLING PLACE LOCATION. | ||
| (a) If an authority holding an election does not use as an early | ||
| voting polling place a location used in the preceding election held | ||
| by the authority, the early voting clerk for that authority shall | ||
| notify a person who represents the location. | ||
| (b) A notification under this section must be given as soon | ||
| as practicable after the authority finally determines the location | ||
| of each early voting polling place for an election. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
