A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to notification regarding certain changes to early voting
  polling locations.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 85, Election Code, is
  amended by adding Section 85.0041 to read as follows:
         Sec. 85.0041.  NOTICE OF CHANGED POLLING PLACE LOCATION.
  (a) If an authority holding an election does not use as an early
  voting polling place a location used in the preceding election held
  by the authority, the early voting clerk for that authority shall
  notify a person who represents the location.
         (b)  A notification under this section must be given as soon
  as practicable after the authority finally determines the location
  of each early voting polling place for an election.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
