| establishment at a public secondary school. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter H, Chapter 1603, Occupations Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 1603.359 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 1603.359. PRACTICE OF BARBERING AND COSMETOLOGY AT | ||
| ESTABLISHMENT AT PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL. (a) Notwithstanding | ||
| Section 1603.358, a person may operate an establishment on the same | ||
| premises as a public secondary school licensed under Subchapter E-3 | ||
| without separating the facilities by a wall or other permanent | ||
| structure. | ||
| (b) The commission may adopt rules as necessary to implement | ||
| this section. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
