A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the date by which the Texas Energy Reliability Council
  is required to submit to the legislature a report on the reliability
  and stability of the electricity supply chain.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 418.310(a), Government Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (a)  Not later than December [November] 1 of each
  even-numbered year, the council shall submit to the legislature a
  report on the reliability and stability of the electricity supply
  chain in this state.
         SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies only
  to a report submitted on or after the effective date of this Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
