| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 431, Health and Safety | ||
| Code, is amended by adding Section 431.0215 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 431.0215. ADDITIONAL PROHIBITED ACTS. (a) In this | ||
| section, "mRNA material" means a substance that introduces | ||
| messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) corresponding to a viral protein. | ||
| (b) A person may not manufacture, sell, or distribute a | ||
| product developed through the use of mRNA material in the | ||
| prevention or treatment of a communicable disease. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
