BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 201.105, Family Code, is amended to read | ||
as follows: | ||
Sec. 201.105. COMPENSATION OF ASSOCIATE JUDGE. (a) An | ||
associate judge appointed under this subchapter is entitled to | ||
receive from the state a salary in an amount equal to [ |
||

salary paid to a district judge as set by the General Appropriations | ||
Act. | ||
(b) Notwithstanding any other law, longevity pay paid to an | ||
associate judge under Section 659.044, Government Code, is not | ||
included as part of the [ |

provided by Subsection (a) [ |
||
|
||
|
||
|
||
(c) The office of court administration in accordance with | ||
this subchapter may use federal funds obtained from the Title IV-D | ||
agency to cover the costs of an associate judge's salary. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 201.205, Family Code, is amended by | ||
amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (a-1) to read as | ||
follows: | ||
(a) An associate judge appointed under this subchapter is | ||
entitled to receive from the state a salary in an amount equal to | ||

percent of the salary paid to a district judge as set by the state | ||
General Appropriations Act. | ||
(a-1) Notwithstanding any other law, longevity pay paid to | ||
an associate judge under Section 659.044, Government Code, is not | ||
included as part of the associate judge's salary amount provided by | ||
Subsection (a). | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
