relating to requiring certain victim information to be attached to | ||
certain arrest warrants. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Chapter 15, Code of Criminal Procedure, is | ||
amended by adding Article 15.021 to read as follows: | ||
Art. 15.021. INFORMATION ATTACHED TO WARRANT. If a warrant | ||
is issued for the arrest of a person alleged to have committed an | ||
offense under Section 25.07, Penal Code, or an offense listed in | ||
Subsection (a)(1) of that section, the arresting officer must | ||
attach to the warrant a written statement identifying the victim of | ||
the alleged offense, if that information is available to the | ||
arresting officer. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
